NZOPA 2026 Conference 4-6 September 2026

The New Zealand Orthotics and Prosthetics Association (NZOPA) has released the conference programme for its flagship 2026 event, themed “Collaborative Care in Action.”

Key details:

  • Dates: 4–6 September 2026
  • Venue: Novotel Auckland Airport
  • Organiser: NZOPA — the professional body promoting New Zealand’s orthotics and prosthetics profession

About the conference: NZOPA hosts an annual conference as one of its core member services, providing continuing professional development and education for practitioners in the orthotic and prosthetic field. NZOPA is mandated by its members to provide ethical codes of conduct for professional practice, and to arrange and host local conferences and events to facilitate continuous professional development and education. These events are typically open to non-members as well as members, drawing clinicians, students, and industry sponsors from across the sector.

The theme: “Collaborative Care in Action” points toward a programme centred on multidisciplinary teamwork — likely spanning sessions on clinical practice, patient outcomes, technology and innovation in orthotic/prosthetic care, and partnership across the wider allied health and rehabilitation sector, in keeping with the association’s stated mission to advance high standards of patient care through technology, education, research, knowledge, advocacy and collaboration.

Location note: The choice of Auckland Airport as the venue — following the 2025 conference held in Rotorua — makes the event more accessible for practitioners and exhibitors travelling from across New Zealand and Australia.
