OPPAK is Pakistan’s original and longest-running web resource built specifically for the orthotics and prosthetics (O&P) profession. Since 2006, we’ve worked to connect patients, practitioners, and organizations across the country with reliable information, training opportunities, and professional support in orthotic and prosthetic care.
Today, that mission has grown into the OPPAK Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists — a structured learning platform built to serve Pakistan’s growing community of O&P professionals with the education, resources, and networking they need to advance the profession.
Our Story: From Earthquake Relief to a National O&P Community
OPPAK began in the aftermath of Pakistan’s devastating 2005 earthquake, when the urgent need for accessible orthotic and prosthetic services became impossible to ignore. Founder Irtaza Kazmi launched a small online forum in 2006 to help connect patients with the O&P services and organizations that could help them.
That grassroots effort quickly grew into something bigger. By 2007, the platform had become OPPAK.com -Pakistan’s first web resource dedicated entirely to orthotics and prosthetics. In 2020, OPPAK was formally registered with the Government of Pakistan, cementing its role as a trusted, established institution within the country’s allied health sector.
As the needs of Pakistan’s orthotists and prosthetists continued to evolve, so did OPPAK. The OPPAK Academy was launched as the platform’s natural next step — transforming a news and information hub into a full-fledged learning ecosystem for O&P professionals nationwide.

Meet Our Founder
Syed Irtaza Amir Hassan Kazmi — CEO, OPPAK.com | Orthotist Prosthetist
Mr. Kazmi brings over 26 years of clinical, managerial, and academic experience spanning public and private sector institutions, as well as international O&P projects. He holds an MS from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, and currently practices as a Pediatric Orthotist Prosthetist at one of the UAE’s leading children’s specialty hospitals.
OPPAK Academy represents the realization of a vision Irtaza has pursued for years: a world-class, accessible online learning home built by and for Pakistan’s orthotics and prosthetics community.
